2.62.150 Retirement benefits generally-Schedule <br /> <br /> There shall be paid to each employee found eligible to retire, and to the employee's spouse <br />and children, as provided in Sections 2.62.080, 2.62.090 and 2.62.100, from this fund herein created, <br />or by workmen's compensation benefits or a combination of both, when approved by the board of <br />trustees, the following benefits: <br /> <br />To an employee retired on account of age and service as set forth in Section <br />2.62.080(A), a monthly benefit according to the employee's attained age at his or her <br />last birthday as follows: <br /> <br /> Percentage of <br />Age in Years Base Monthly Salary <br />50 40% <br />51 44% <br />52 48% <br />53 52% <br />54 56% <br />55 or more 60% <br /> <br />To an employee retired on account of disability as set forth in Section 2.62.090, a monthly <br />benefit equal to sixty (60) percent of the base monthly salary then in effect. <br /> <br />The payment shall be made monthly during the retiree's life and continued disability; but <br />if the retiree's disability shall cease as set forth in Section 2.62.180, prior to the death of <br />such retiree, and prior to the time the retiree shall attain the age of fifty-five (55) years, then <br />such payment shall cease upon the termination of such disability; <br /> <br />Go <br /> <br />To an employee retired on account of disability as set forth in Section 2.62.100, the greater <br />of: <br /> <br />A monthly benefit equal to twenty-five (25) percent of the base monthly salary then <br />in effect, or <br /> <br />A monthly benefit determined by the ratio of the employe¢'s years of service at the <br />date of disability to the years of service the employee would have had by working <br />to age fifty-five (55), as applied to the benefit the employee would have had by <br />working to age fifty-five (55), but using the employee's current base salary, plus <br /> <br />A monthly benefit often percent of the monthly base salary then in effect for each <br />child of such employee while such child is unmarried, dependent and under the age <br />of eighteen (18) years; provided the total monthly payment shall not exceed fifty- <br />five (55) percent of the monthly base salary. <br /> <br />In the event of death from causes set forth in Section 2.62.100, the surviving spouse <br />and minor children shall be entitled to benefits equal to seventy-five (75) percent <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
