A building containing two dwelling units. <br /> <br /> (CHAPTER 10 MEANS OF EGRESS) <br /> <br /> (SECTION 1013 GUARDS) <br /> <br /> 1013.90 Retaining wall guards. Where retaining walls with differences in grade level on either <br /> side of the wall in excess of 4 feet are located closer than 2 feet to a walk, path, parking lot or <br /> driveway on the high side, such retaining walls shall be provided with guards that are constructed <br /> in accordance with the guard requirements of this code. <br /> (CHAPTER 14 EXTERIOR WALLS) <br /> <br /> (SECTION 1405 INSTALLATION OF WALL COVERINGS) <br /> <br /> 1405.2.1 Permanent closure. Doors, windows and other exterior wall openings shall not be <br /> closed up with permanent construction unless the new construction meets all the requirements of <br /> this code for exterior wall construction. <br /> <br /> 1405.2.2 Temporary closure, restricted. Doors, windows and other exterior wall openings shall <br /> not be closed up or boarded up with temporary construction unless the building official makes a <br /> finding that such temporary closure is necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare. <br /> <br /> 1405.2.3 Temporary closure, standards. Temporary closures permitted under this section shall <br /> consist of not less than 1/2 inch thick weather-resistant plywood coated with approved paint or <br /> protective coating to prevent deterioration, cut to fit within openings, securely nailed or screwed <br /> in place and securely braced. <br /> <br /> (CHAPTER 18 SOILS AND FOUNDATIONS) <br /> <br /> (SECTION 1805 FOOTINGS AND FOUNDATIONS) <br /> <br /> 1805.2.1 Frost Protection. Except where otherwise protected from frost, foundation walls, piers <br /> and other permanent structures shall be protected from frost by one or more of the following <br /> methods: <br /> 1. Extend below the frost line of 30" below grade. <br /> 2. Constructing in accordance with ASCE-32. <br /> 3. Erecting on solid rock verified to be 30" thick. <br /> Exception: Free standing structures of less than 125 square feet in area and less than 10 feet in <br /> height. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 10 <br />
