NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br /> CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Chapter 15.04 "Building Code" of Title 15 of the University City Municipal Code is hereby <br /> amended by repealing Chapter 15.04 thereof, and enacting in lieu thereof a new Chapter 15.04 <br /> "Building Code", which shall read as follows: <br /> Chapter 15.04 <br /> Building Code <br /> 15.04.010 -Adoption. l' <br /> The International Building Code, 2012 Edition, including appendices F, G, H, I, and J as published by <br /> the International Code Council, Inc., one copy of which was on file in the office of the City Clerk for a <br /> period of ninety (90) days prior to the adoption of this chapter and available for public use, inspection <br /> and examination, and a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if fully <br /> set forth herein, is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the City of University City, Missouri, <br /> subject to the amendments, additions, insertions, deletions and changes set out in Section 15.04.020 <br /> of this chapter. <br /> 15.04.020 - Additions, insertions, deletions and amendments. <br /> The following numbered sections and subsections of the International Building Code, 2012 Edition, <br /> including appendices F, G, H, I, and J, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., are <br /> hereby amended by additions, insertions, deletions and changes so that such sections and T' <br /> subsections shall read as follows: <br /> (CHAPTER 1 ADMINISTRATION) <br /> (SECTION 101 GENERAL) <br /> 101.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the Building Code of the City of University City, <br /> Missouri, hereinafter referred to as "this Code". <br /> (SECTION 103 DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING SAFETY) <br /> 103.1 Enforcement agency. The term "department of building safety" whenever employed herein <br /> shall be construed to mean the Department of Community Development of the City of University City, <br /> Missouri. The term "Building Official" shall be construed to mean the Building Commissioner of the <br /> City of University City, Missouri or the duly authorized representative of the Building Commissioner. <br /> 103.2 Appointment. The Building Commissioner shall be appointed by the chief appointing authority <br /> of the jurisdiction. <br /> 2 <br />
