Session 1794
October 16, 2000

Mr. Sharpe would like to make sure the trash hauling is done at a time that will not disturb
the neighbors. Mr. Berry responded that they would note this and that possibly it would be
addressed by the condominium association that will be formed when this project is
completed.

Theresa Wetzel, 7331 Northmoor, lives directly south of the proposed development. She
wished to commend the architects and developers for coming out Saturday to speak to
them. Ms. Wetzel felt like that she was not properly notified about this project. She just
happened upon the rumor that there might be something developed behind her home. She
contacted Mr. Hill and Mr. Lieberman and thus, received the information about the
development. She would also like to know if there were to be any major changes to this
project would they receive any notice. Mr. Ollendorff said that if there are changes, he will
be sure and notify the residents. Mr. OIlendorff explained to Ms. Wetzel what a major
change would constitute. Ms. Wetzel asked that they be notified when the landscaping
plans are made available, because this is an important issue to them. Mr. Ollendorff will
contact her when they are available. Ms. Wetzel was also concerned how the lighting from
the project would shine into her property. Mayor Pro Tem Schoomer responded that, by
code, all lighting had to be shielded from the adjoining properties. Finally, Ms. Wetzel
wished to impress upon Council how important the character of their neighborhood is to
them and she hopes that it is important to the City Council, as well. Mr. Wagner asked
Ms. Wetzel what her opinion was of the height of the project and Ms. Wetzel responded
that the height seemed generally fine, but what was more important was that the building
be finished in a nice red brick on all four sides.

Fran Erker, 7327 Northmoor, also lives close to this proposed condo development. She
would also like to see the building finished in red brick. She stated her concern over the
noise that sixteen air conditioning units would make. The developers offered putting shrubs
around the units to buffer the noise. Ms. Erker would like them to do more, such as a
fence or a brick wall to buffer the noise down back toward Forsyth. The developers were
nice enough to offer putting up an orange plywood fence around the construction site to
help protect the children in the area. She has a transformer in her backyard that she
understands will have to be enlarged. She is concerned about how the wires will be
installed - underground or overhead and how big it will look. She is excited about the
landscaping that they will be installing. She hopes that they will put up a fence behind to
keep people from cutting through to Forsythe or vice versa. She also thanked the
developers and architects for coming to the meeting at her house at an instants notice. Mr.
Wagner asked Ms. Erker how she received her notice. She responded that she received her
notice from Ms. Wetzel, who lives to the east of her. If she received a notice through the
mail, she does not remember it. She believes she received a notice about the site plan
review, but not for this one.

5
