Parking restriction petition for a single parking space – No vote required <br /> <br />Ms. Gutierrez explained that she put together a guideline for Internal Guideline Procedures <br />(packets provided) to guide the Traffic Commission and Staff to take any requests for <br />parking restrictions and see what areas need to sign as affected households (depending on <br />what their request is). <br /> <br />Guidelines: <br /> <br />1. When the requested parking restriction is proposed to be implemented on one block <br />both sides of the street <br />only on , petition shall be signed by at least one (1) owner <br />of record for each of the parcels of real estate constituting in excess of seventy-five <br />percent (75%) of the parcels of real estate adjacent to the affected block only, on <br />both sides of the street. <br />one side of the <br />2. When the requested parking restriction is to be implemented on <br />street <br /> only, petition shall be signed by at least one (1) owner of record for each of <br />the parcels of real estate constituting in excess of seventy-five percent (75%) of the <br />parcels of real estate adjacent to both sides of the street, unless the opposite side <br />will receive special accommodations to alleviate the impact of the proposed parking <br />restriction. <br />one side of the <br />3. When the requested parking restriction is to be implemented on <br />street, for a distance of 20 feet (single space) to 100 feet (five spaces), <br /> petition <br />shall be signed by at least one (1) owner of record for each of the parcels of real <br />estate constituting in excess of seventy-five percent (75%) of the parcels of real <br />estate on both sides of the street, for the length of the section where the restriction is <br />requested and a distance of 50 feet on each side of it. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hales asked how the Traffic Commission should deal with a parking request <br />with condos and multiple building owners to be dealt with. Ms. Gutierrez referred to the <br />Delcrest situation. Ms. Gutierrez advised that the property owner was asked to sign on <br />behalf of three buildings. <br /> <br />Additional consideration should be given to the Condominiums with different owners and <br />the fact that the Condo Association Board could be the representative or have the say on <br />the parking changes request. <br /> <br />727 – 731 Limit Avenue parking restriction – Vote required <br />C. <br /> <br />Ms. Gutierrez advised that a representative of Quadrangle Properties, Tucker Bodman <br />requested a parking restriction north bound on Limit Ave (which is a one-way street).
