Session 1796 October 30, 2000 Central Garage personnel reviewed the bids and found Downing Sales low bid acceptable. Mr. Ollendofff therefore recommends purchasing this vehicle from Downing Sales for $39,597.93. #6: Nine Chevrolet Pickup Trucks - Bids for providing nine trucks have been received. Mr. Sharpe moved approval of the consent calendar. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. CITIZEN COMMENTS: Ms. Versia Cross, 6847 Raymond, is President of the MR JR Neighborhood Association. She noticed the increase to the Sidewalk and Curb Contracts in Mr. Ollendorff's Consent Calendar. She does not want the City to forget their sidewalks on Raymond and Roberts, which needs serious repairs. Responding to Mayor Adams, Mr. Ollendorff reported that the extra money was for sidewalks and curbs on Delmar and Washington. Mr. Ollendorff said that $100,000 worth of repairs were done in Ms. Cross' part of the City. Ms. Cross responded that they were not done on Raymond or Roberts. Mayor Adams said that this problem will be looked into. Ms. Sandra Hewitt, 6900 Roberts, basically repeated her concerns that she brought to the Council's attention at the City Council meeting on September 25, 2000. They really want the sign put up at the creek or a barrier erected to prevent Pagedale residents from coming over. There are too many break-ins and property being destroyed or vandalized. They 4
