Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion.

The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr.
Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number 8502 passed and
became Ordinance number 6279.

BILL NO. 8503 - VACATING AND SURRENDERING TWO PORTIONS OF THE
RIGHT-OF-WAY OF HARRISON AVENUE BETWEEN HAWTHORNE PLACE
AND WAYNE AVENUE IN BELLMONT PLACE SUBDIVISION AND
HAWTHORNE TERRACE SUBDIVISION, BUT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC
UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE
RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS.

Prior to reading, Mr. Lieberman asked to have this bill delayed until the next
meeting.

3. BILL NO. 8504 - VACATING AND SURRENDERING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF
SHAFTESBURY AVENUE NEAR RAISHER DRIVE IN MONA TERRACE
SUBDIVISION, BUT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND
DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF
THE RECORDER OF DEEDS.

Prior to reading, Mr. Wagner asked to have this bill delayed until the next
meeting. Mr. Wagner responded that 10' may be all that is needed for a minimum
sidewalk tract, but we have a million dollar grant for a trail system here, and he thinks
with more discussion, wisdom will be found to leave 15' versus 10'.

Responding to Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Ollendorff stated that it would be very advantageous for
us to relinquish this property so no further maintenance on the City's part is required.

Responding to Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Ollendorff said that the other owners along this walk
have not been informed of this yet. His intention is to approach the neighboring

9
