Session 1800 <br />January 8, 2001 <br /> <br />MS. Colquilt amended the bill to include vacation of only the two preperties that are <br />adjacent to 7600 Lynn and 7602 Wayne. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion to amend <br />the current bill, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel withdrew his earlier motion to approve bill 8503. The bill will remain on the <br />docket and delayed until the January 22'~" meeting. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8504 - VACATING AND SURRENDERING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF <br />SHAFTESBURY AVENUE NEAR RAISHER DRIVE IN MONA TERRACE <br />SUBDIVISION, BUT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND <br />DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF <br />THE RECORDER OF DEEDS. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved to amend this bill by changing the dimensions in a way that the City <br />maintains 15 feet of green space versus 10 feet as it now reads. blr. Sharpe seconded <br />the motion. <br /> <br />After much discussion, Council decided that the approval of this bill should be delayed <br />in order to study the merits and reasons behind the Public Works assessment that only <br />10 feet is needed for a future trail versus what the trail organizers maintain is needed, <br />15 feet. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8506 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, ON BEHALF OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE MISSOURI HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION WHICH <br />PROVIDES THAT THE CITY SHALL RECEIVE GRANT FUNDS FOR THE <br />COSTS TO REPLACE A BRIDGE ON SHAFTESBURY AVE:NUE EAST OF <br />WILSON AVENUE. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved adoption. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion. The roll call vote was <br />as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquirt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Sharpe, <br />and Mayor Pro Tem Schoomer. NAYS: none. Bill number 8506 passed and became <br />Ordinance number 6281. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8507 - APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN UNIVERSITY CITY <br />AND AMERICAN FIBER SYSTEMS, INC. FOR THE NONEXCLUSIVE RIGHT <br />TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND REMOVE ITS TELECOMMUNICATIONS <br />FACILITIES UNDER THE PUBLIC WAYS; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />
