Session 1258, Minutes Page 15 <br />September 22, 1980 <br /> <br />FURTHER REMARKS BY COUNCILMEMBER KELLEY RE PAWNBROKER'S LICENSE APPLICATION <br /> <br />Mr. Kelley said he wished to add to his earlier remarks regarding the denial of a <br />pawnb~oker's license to Mr. Light~ He said that in addition to the reasons he and <br />Mr. Adams suggested, and the other reasons given by the neighborhood residents, he <br />felt the applicant did not meet the burden of proof that it would be in the public <br />interest to have a pawnshop in that location. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL MATTER--RAISE FOR MR. OLLENDORFF <br /> <br />Mr. Adams moved that Mr. Ollendorff be given a 5% raise in pay, plus 5% in the form <br />of deferred compensation. Mr~ Sabol seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Ollendorff said a bill was on the City Clerk's Docket which had been discussed <br />by the Council earlier, which removes the city manager from the City pension system, <br />and those funds would be allocated toward the city manager's retirement system. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR ADOPTION AS ORDINANCES <br /> <br />BILL NO. 7379 (AS'AMENDED) - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING, <br />BY REPEALING ARTICLE IX, AND ENACTING THEREIN A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "ARTICLE <br />IX. HISTORICAL FEATURES AND DISTRICTS." <br /> <br />Consideration of Bill No. 7379 (as amended) was postponed. <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND READING <br /> <br />BILL NO. 7429 - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING, BY REPEALING <br />SECTION 34-52.4, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION <br />34-52.4. SPECIFICALLY PROHIBITED USES," TO ADD A REGULATION FOR ANTENNAE. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff requested that consideration of this bill be postponed until the next <br />meeting~ <br /> <br />BILL NO. 7430 - ENDING CHAPTER 17 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO HOUSING, BY REPEALING <br />SECTION 17-21o3 THEREOF, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS <br />"SECTION 17-21o3. OCCUPANCY PERMIT REQUIRED," SO AS TO DELETE THE FEE PROVISION. <br />Bill No. 7430 was given its second reading. <br /> <br />Bill No. 7430 was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Councilmember Adams moved that this bill be adopted as an ordinanee. Councilmember <br />Lieberman seconded the motion. Upon roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Adams, Metcalfe, Kelley, Sabol, Thompson, Lieberman and Mayor <br />Mooney. NAYS: None. Bill No. 7430 became Ordinance No. 5238. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 7431 - AMENDING CHAPTER 6 MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO BUILDINGS, AND ENACT- <br />ING THEREIN A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "ARTICLE IX. SECTION 6-78. FEES," SO AS <br />TO INCREASE THE FEES. <br />Bill No, 7431 was given its second reading. <br /> <br />Bill No. 7431 was given its third reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
